Suttons Seeds - Poppy 'Royal Wedding'

Poppy 'Royal Wedding' bears large, dazzling white flowers with a contrasting dark centre that will attract plenty of butterflies and bees. For maximum impact, plant this easy-to-grow Oriental Poppy in clumps in a sunny border. These robust, clump-forming plants will flower at the beginning of summer and once flowering has finished, their striking seed heads will provide a second season of interest. Height: 60cm (24"). Sowing Information

Sow directly into weed free, warm, moist soil. Sow 5mm deep in drills 15cm apart and rake gently. After emergence, thin seedlings to 20-30cm spacing. Alternatively, sow seeds onto the surface of good quality compost in a seed tray in a greenhouse or coldframe/windowsill at around 15-20C, do not exclude light. Germination 10-21 days. When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3in) pots. Gradually acclimatise plants to outdoor conditions and then plant out 30cm (12in) apart.
