Suttons Seeds - Pansy 'Giant Fancy Mix'

A Swiss Giant pansy, which is a strong-growing strain with enormous flowers of brilliant colours all with blotches at petal bases. Height 15-23cm (6-9"). HB/HP - Hardy biennial/Hardy perennial.

Growing Information

Sow May-July outdoors in a cold frame or seedbed to bloom the following spring, or February-April under glass to flower May-September the same year.

Sowing Information

From February-April sow in pots or trays on a windowsill in a propagator or in a greenhouse in good quality, finely sieved, moist compost, 6mm (1?4") deep and keep at 15-18°C (60-68°F). Germination 10-21 days. As the young plants develop transplant them out 5cm (2") apart in trays and grow on. Plant out after acclimatising them to outside conditions 26cm (10") apart. Alternatively, sow as above in a cold frame during June or July and plant out in the autumn for flowering the following spring.
